The product
What is LamaCP?
A control panel for web hosting that you install on your own server. It runs websites, apps, containers, mail, DNS, databases, FTP and backups, for an administrator, resellers and their customers.
Which systems does it run on?
Debian 12 and 13, and Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04, on a fresh server with at least 1 GB of RAM. See the installation guide.
Can I install it on a server that already hosts sites?
Install it on a fresh server. LamaCP configures nginx, PHP, the databases, mail and DNS itself and would clash with an existing setup. Sites, mail and databases can be moved in from DirectAdmin.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Your sites, mail and databases stay on your server. Once a day the panel tells lamacp.com its license key, its version and how many domains and accounts it runs, to renew its license; nothing else.
Plans and licenses
What does the Free plan include?
3 domains, 3 apps or containers, 15 mailboxes, 3 MySQL databases and 3 FTP accounts, with one reseller and no customer accounts. Backups, forwarders, mailing lists, PostgreSQL and MongoDB come with the paid plans. There is no time limit.
Does a license cover more than one server?
No: one license is for one server. Each server needs its own.
How do I move a license to another server?
Sign in to your account and free the license from its server, then activate the key on the new server. This can be done once every 30 days; write to us if you need it sooner.
I lost my license key.
Sign in to your account and make a new key. The old one stops working, and the server it is on keeps running until you enter the new key.
What happens if my server cannot reach lamacp.com?
Nothing at first: a license is valid for two weeks at a time and renewed daily, so a few days without a connection go unnoticed.
What happens when a license ends?
The server falls back to the Free plan's limits. Nothing is deleted or stopped: you cannot add more than Free allows. If the server has more than Free allows, it warns you for 30 days; after that, what is over the limit is paused (you choose what stays), until you renew.
Buying
How do I pay?
By card, PayPal and other local methods in Paddle's checkout. Paddle is our merchant of record: it handles the payment, the invoice and sales tax or VAT.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. A year costs eleven months: the twelfth is free.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, at any time in your account. On a plan change you pay or are credited the difference at once. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the period paid for.
Where are my invoices?
In your account, under Invoices and payment, and in the mails Paddle sends you.
Do you give refunds?
Yes, within 14 days of a payment. See the refund policy.
